For the ninth consecutive year, 48 students from Deree attended the Delphi Economic Forum IX from April 10-13, 2024, thanks to the efforts of the Office of Public Affairs. These students engaged in a range of sessions, gaining exposure to new developments across various sectors, and had the opportunity to hear innovative ideas and network with prominent speakers and global leaders. The event, held by the nonprofit Delphi Economic Forum, aims to foster sustainable growth in Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean through innovative ideas. This year, the forum attracted over 1,000 speakers from diverse fields, discussing critical contemporary issues. Deree’s presence was marked by significant contributions from Professor Constantinos Filis, who coordinated panels on international relations, and Professor Kelly Gerakoudi, who focused on energy regulations in shipping.
