The Institute of Global Affairs (IGA) recently hosted its third consecutive educational trip to Brussels, Belgium, where 19 Deree students gained firsthand insight into European Union institutions and global affairs. The delegation was led by Ms. Claudia Carydis, Vice President of Public Affairs; Dr. Constantinos Filis, Director of IGA and Professor of International Relations; and Dr. Manos Skoulas, Professor of Communication and member of the IGA Board. The students engaged with high-level officials from the EU Commission, NATO, and the Permanent Representation of Greece to the EU, delving into topics ranging from EU-US relations to NATO-EU cooperation. This was a unique opportunity for our students to experience the inner workings of key European and international organizations.
