Alexandros Kafkas

Lab Manager

Alexandros Kafkas is a researcher specializing in Experimental and Behavioral Economics, with a focus on Mechanism Design, Game Theory, and Analytics. He holds a BA (Hons) in Economics from Deree – The American College of Greece, where he was an International Honors Program Scholar. His research explores human-machine interactions, strategic decision-making, and bargaining, with projects including “Smart or Human: Cheap Talk in Human-Machine Interaction” and “Evaluating the Impact of SDG Stamps Across Different Industries”.

Since 2024, he has served as the Lab Manager of the Experimental Economics, Fintech & Analytics Lab, conducting experimental sessions and coordinating interdisciplinary research projects. His professional experience includes contributions to European Union taxation projects at Netcompany-Intrasoft, where he was involved in the development of the CBAM Risk Management Module by integrating innovative algorithms for identifying and monitoring irregularities in financial transactions, mapping critical business processes, and bridging technical and business requirements for improved regulatory compliance.

His research interests include economic decision-making, the intersection of technology and human behavior, and the integration of large language models (LLMs) as research tools for large-scale data analysis.
