A channel-sounding pair consisting of a 60 GHz transmitter and a spinning receiver equipped with a horn antenna for directional measurements is used for our collaboration with Nokia Bell Labs US for fixed wireless measurements and channel characterization. The spinner receives 60 GHz signals transmitted from the omni antenna of the transmitter and displays received signal characteristics via a specialized program in both real-time and offline modes.
