Dr. Antonis Klidas is Associate Professor and Head of the Management and International Business department at Deree – The American College of Greece, where he has taught in both the graduate and undergraduate schools since 2007. Dr. Antonis Klidas holds a BSc in Business Administration from the Athens University of Economics and Business, a MSc in International Hotel Management from the University of Surrey in the UK and a PhD from Tilburg University in the Netherlands. He currently teaches courses in the areas of International Business and Management. He obtained his PhD degree from Tilburg University in the Netherlands following a Marie Curie Fellowship from the European Commission. His doctoral thesis involved cross-cultural research on ‘employee empowerment’ in the hotels of an international company across Europe. His research interests focus on the synergies between tourism and agriculture, the internationalization of Greek business and teamwork assessment and pedagogies. In the past, Dr. Klidas has worked as a Research Fellow at the Institute for Research on Intercultural Cooperation in the Netherlands. He was also a full-time lecturer of Management and Marketing at the Department of Social, Cultural Sciences at Tilburg University in the Netherlands for approximately five years.
