Dr. Manos Varouchas is an education management professional with knowledge of the American, British, and Spanish higher education systems, and a proven record of establishing viable partnerships between business and academic units. He is currently head of department and associate professor, leading the Management Information Systems program. His teaching involves Information Systems Strategy and Information Security. He has served as a mentor, executive director, board advisor, assessor, and systems analyst in the ICT industry and academia. His research interests include quality metrics in higher education and information systems security. He serves as a reviewer and author in higher education peer-reviewed journals. He is elected Associate Director for AFCEA International, and Board Member for the Hellenic Children’s Museum. He holds a BSc. in Business Administration (major in Computer Information Systems) from Deree-ACG, an MSc. in Information Management from the University of Sheffield, UK, and a PhD in Communication, Information & Technology in the Web Society from the University of Alcalá in Madrid, Spain.
