Dr. Psimouli is Assistant Professor in International Business and Entrepreneurship at The American College of Greece (ACG) and has recently served as a strategy consultant in the team that developed the project “Nation Branding Greece”.  In the past she has served as a research fellow in the Athens Laboratory of Research in Marketing at Athens University of Economics and Business, as a marketing lecturer in the Business College of Athens, as a translator of business and marketing academic textbooks, and as a marketing executive in national and multinational companies. She holds an MSc in Marketing and Communication with New Technologies and a PhD in Nation Branding both from the Athens University of Economics and Business. Her area of expertise is place branding and the ways its aspects (e.g., heritage, landscape, culture) can be managed and employed for the economic development and competitiveness of nations. Her studies explore fields such as destination branding, wine tourism and dark tourism. During her professional career in the industry, she has focused mainly on international brands from FMCG categories (i.e., milk, water), entertainment sector (i.e., Disney, Paramount, and DreamWorks studios) and real estate (i.e., Sotheby’s). She has handled various types of marketing projects, including launching new products, while she has also been responsible for budgeting and profitability issues. From her current position as an Associate Lecturer, she coaches students that provide consulting services to Greek companies seeking export potentials, as one of her classes is based on a live assessment project. Her academic research portfolio includes presentations in conferences around the world as well as publications in international peer-reviewed journals.
