Dr. Stella Leivadi is an Assistant Professor at The American College of Greece (ACG). Dr. Leivadi has been a member of the School of Business & Economics – Sports Management program since January 2017. She is teaching research methods, introduction to sport management and the Olympic Games and sport mega events courses and serves as the program coordinator. Her field of expertise is in the social psychology of sport and leisure. Her extensive teaching experience started in 1993 at Middle Tennessee State University as a tenured faculty and includes the University of Miami and Florida International University. In Greece, she taught at Centers of Postgraduate Education, in collaboration with foreign universities (e.g. University of Wales, Northumbria University etc.). Since 2002, she has worked for 4 Organizing Committees for the Olympic Games (ATHENS 2004, LONDON 2012, RIO 2016 & TOKYO 2020). Her research interests lie in the areas of leisure and sport behavior as well as in the quality of life.
