Georgios Ropokis received the Diploma degree in Computer Engineering and Informatics from the University of Patras, Greece (2004), the M.Sc. degree in Mobile and Satellite Communications from the University of Surrey, U.K. (2005), and the Ph.D. degree in Wireless Communications from the Univ. of Patras (2010). He has held several research positions in prestigious EU academic institutes, including EURECOM, France, where he was a Visiting Scientist from 2012 to 2014, Trinity College Dublin, where he served as a Research Fellow at CONNECT from 2016 to 2018, and CentraleSupelec, France, where he served as an Associate Professor from 2018 to 2022. His research focuses on the performance analysis and optimization of Wireless Communications systems, and the results of his research have been published exclusively in IEEE Transactions Journals. He has been awarded two personal career development grants: a 200K grant from the General Secretariat of Research and Technology (Greece) in 2012 and a 30K Grant from Rennes Metropole Foundation (France) in 2019.
