Stamos has been a member of the Athens Bar Association as from 1992 and has been practicing Law since then, having obtained his LL.M degree from the University of Bristol in 1991.
Over these 30 years, he has been working in association with leading Law firms in Athens and as an in-house legal counsel with two international shipping houses.
His expertise is in the field of Shipping Finance, Maritime (S&Ps, Insurance, Claims, Charters etc), Commercial (formation & establishment of corporate entities, joint ventures agreement, etc) and Real Estate law. For the last 20 years he has been advising leading Greek and UK banks and drafting financial agreements and all relevant loan and security documentation relating to ship financing. He speaks Greek, English and French.
Stamos has published two articles in leading law journals and has commented on certain Court decisions of importance. He is also giving lectures and seminars at the University of Piraeus and the College of the Hellenic American University in Athens.
