Dr. Vangelis Tsioumas is an Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Maritime Transport and Logistics at Deree – The American College of Greece. His research interests include strategic management in shipping, freight market modeling, and maritime economics. He holds a PhD from the Department of Maritime Studies, University of Piraeus, an MSc from Imperial College, and a BSc & MSc from the National Technical University of Athens. His research has been published in high-quality journals and presented at international conferences. Dr. Tsioumas is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers and has several years of work experience as Shipping Market Analyst and Chartering Broker. Furthermore, he has participated in various international research projects.
