Deree Science Day 2025 brought together students, faculty, and science enthusiasts for a dynamic day of discovery, innovation, and hands-on learning. Featuring engaging workshops, interactive experiments, and expert-led discussions, the event explored key scientific challenges from climate change and artificial intelligence to biodiversity and human health. Organized by the Department of Science and Mathematics in collaboration with the Center of Excellence in Sustainability (CoES), the event was supported by the E.U. Erasmus+ project SDG4U, reinforcing its connection to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Attendees had the unique opportunity to participate in cutting-edge scientific activities, including AI applications in biomedical sciences, cryptography challenges, sun observations through telescopes, and atmospheric measurements using a tethered balloon.
