ACG150 carried the baton for climate action!

Eighteen members of the ACG Community (students, faculty and staff) participated as Runners at “The Running Out of Time” relay on October 27, 2022. This is the world’s biggest climate change relay, spanning from Scotland to Egypt to deliver a message on climate action to the world’s leaders at COP27.

The ACG runners covered the last 3 relay routes in Greece before the baton sailed for Cyprus. Amongst the runners were members of the ACG 150 family: Constantinos Papadias, Athanasios Krystallis, Constantinos Filis, and Flora Leventis.

The Center of Excellence in Sustainability, in collaboration with the Municipality of Aghia Paraskevi, organized a Happening at the central square of Aghia Paraskevi at Mesogeion, which was aiming to raise the voice of the public towards climate action as well as a ‘kids relay’ for primary school children.
